dog walker services in Stockport

We all lead busy lives and it’s often hard to squeeze in time to care for our furry friends properly. Dogs often get bored when left alone for extended periods of time and need a change of scene and some activity. We can pick up your dog from your home and our fully insured dog walker will take them on a stimulating trek through one of the many wonderful countryside walks in and around the Stockport area. With lots of exciting trails to explore and new smells to discover, your dog will have a great time walking with us! When we return we’ll leave your dog clean, happy and satisfied ready to greet you on your return home.

Puppy and kitten home visits in Stockport

Young pets are full of energy and need stimulation as they grow. When left alone for long periods they can get lonely and anxious, which can lead to chewing, barking, whining and other undesirable behaviour. Our little ones are still learning to control bodily functions too, so being let out to relieve themselves during the day helps to instill the right behaviours, as well as avoid nasty suprises! Our puppy and kitten home visit service allows you the peace of mind that your puppy or kitten has some company during the time you're apart, plenty of food & water, a chance to relieve themselves and we can clean up any little ‘mistakes’ that may have occured too!

Dog Walker Services In Stockport: Dog Walkers In Stockport

While letting your dog run around the back garden or taking him for a walk around the block might be good exercise, it isn’t really a substitute for a good walk. These activities don’t offer the same mental stimulation your dog gets by investigating every smell, sight, and sound when he or she gets taken out for a walk to explore the great outdoors.

‘Who’s walking who?’ provide a fun, friendly, safe and reliable way to exercise your dog when circumstances don’t allow you to do it yourself. Our walkers will look after your dog as if it were our own, giving him or her the opportunity to run off steam, have a roll in the grass, or just have a nice sedate walk in pleasant surroundings in and around the Stockport area.

We offer walking in a variety of ways as different dogs have different needs - young dogs are excitable and always want to play, more mature dogs are still playful but also want some space to investigate interesting scents or sounds, and older pets can just fancy a leisurely stroll. We always try to match personalities wherever possible to give your dog the most enjoyable experience when out and about on a walk. Some dogs need more personal space or are not quite as sociable as others, so we offer the option of solo dog walks to meet these needs.

Dogs can be walked on or off lead depending on your preference and how well they respond to a recall command. Dogs will always be kept on a lead by our walkers where the route dictates it and in potentially dangerous places like car parks, etc.

Our dog walker routes primarily centre around woodland and riverside areas in Stockport and, as a result of our wonderful british weather,  your dog will unavoidably get wet or muddy from time to time. As part of the dog walker service we offer we will give your dog a rub down to dry them off, and make sure they have ample water available to them when they return home. We ask that you leave out towels that can be used for this purpose when the weather has been bad, as we only carry a limited supply. If you prefer your dog to be left in a different room that is easier to clean (e.g.: the kitchen) or brought it via a different entrance when they have been rubbed down then please let us know.

dog walker bookings are flexible depending on your requirements and there are no restrictions such as minimum number of days, etc. that you might find elsewhere.

A little about Bev

I have always had an obsession with animals and continually mithered my parents from a young age to have a wide variety of pets. I have always had at least one family dog in my life for as long as I can remember and can't imagine a life without animals in it. In the past I have cared for hamsters, gerbils, cockatiels, fish, guinea pigs, rabbits, cats, dogs, horses and snakes, to name but a few! I currently have a horse (Tilly), two dogs (Sabre and Casper), a guinea pig (Sugar) and three corn snakes (Tango, Flame and Isis) together with two children and a very understanding husband! I have worked in a veterinary surgery and have a long history of offering help and advice to others about pet care.

When the opportunity came for me to start my own business doing what I love came along I was a bit worried at first, but knew that if I didn’t take the chance then I would always be wondering about what could have been - and so ‘Who’s walking who?’ was born!

Bev is fully insured for public liability and completely trustworthy, references are available on request. She has worked as a veterinary assistant and always carries a canine first aid kit when walking.
